Hey, I'm AJ! (Touch) ✌️
I've been a self-taught digital artist for 20+ years. For most of that, I drew by copying — pulling a reference for every pose, every angle, because I didn't trust my own hand to invent one. It worked, but it kept me boxed in. I could only draw what I could find a photo of.
Then I actually learned perspective — not as a rulebook, but as something I could bend. Once I understood volume and space well enough to rotate a form in my head, I stopped needing the reference. Poses started coming out organically, straight from imagination.
That's when drawing finally felt free — expressive, unpredictable, mine.
That shift is what I built this course around. Not more rules to memorize — the spatial sense to break them on purpose.
